Bet you didn't expect to see a new post on here for about another month. Surprise! You can thank my lovely sister for staying on my case for months to post these pictures of crafts with/for the T-dog. So here we go.
|
Trevor's name above his crib. Made with "wood" letters found at Hobby Lobby and modge podged with scrapbook paper. We hooked them to the wall with those command strip things so we didn't have to drill a hole through the cinder blocks for each one. Super easy. |
|
This is the mobile I made for Trevor. I pretty much copied a mobile that I saw on etsy. It's just made with felt (most of the things are glued on, instead of sewn), stuffed with stuffing, and hand-sewn around the edges. I also got to do a little bit of embroidering, like the monkey's legs and tail, lion's whiskers, alligator's smile, etc. It was probably the most fun thing I have ever made and it was awesome to do it just for Trev. |
|
Clearly I didn't paint this, but I thought it was appropriate to add since this is pretty much a post of Trevor's room. Ben got me this for my birthday. I love love love this painting. I think it is so sweet. |
|
This is his room. Ben gave me the crib for Mother's day, and I absolutely love it! Isn't it beautiful?!
I made the cushions on the rocking chair. We got the chair from Ruth and Dan before Trevor was born, and then I made the cushions from that foamy stuff at Joann's and just covered it with the fabric while I was pregnant, just in time for Trev. Not too difficult. |
|
This is Trevor's "dresser". One day when we have more money we hope to give our kids actual furniture. Not the most beautiful solution, but a heck of a lot cheaper than the real thing! And he doesn't seem to mind. |
This last one is the Father's Day present we made for Ben this year. Each month's picture is made with Trevor's footprints. I decided to just go ahead and post each month so that I can remember in case somebody calls me frantically asking for ideas for Father's day the way I did to my dear sister Amber (thanks by the way!)
Your footprint calendar turned out so well! I'm impressed you can find time to craft with that little boy keeping you so busy!
ReplyDeleteBeck, you are amazing. Trevor's room looks so so cute!
ReplyDeleteI think his dresser is cute. :) And I am in love with the mobile. And the painting. And the rocking chair. And his crib IS beautiful. And you are very brave to paint that little man's feet 12 times. That calendar is so darling!
ReplyDeleteYay! Finally! I'm still totally in love with the mobile and the painting is so perfect. And I can't believe the calendar turned out so well. It is adorable! I promise I'll post on my blog sometime soon...
