Trevor - 9 months

Our little man turns 9 months old today! Blows my mind a little bit, to be honest. This month, he has perfected the army crawl, learned to pull up on everything, done a little bit of "cruising", and started showing a lot more of his personality. He's started to dance when we turn on music! It is adorable. And we think he may have started waving hi and bye, but it could just be a coincidence. It is so much fun. He is the funniest, sweetest, happiest baby around. We are loving being parents more and more everyday!

He visited the doctor yesterday for his 9 month check up and he is healthy as a horse. Trevor is 28.2 inches long (50th percentile) and weighed in at 19.5 pounds (35th percentile). The doctor commented several times on how energetic he was (I was struggling the entire time to keep him from diving off my lap, keeping the doctor's clip board out of his mouth, etc). He said that probably had something to do with his drop in weight percentile-wise. He's burning a ton of calories. He said there is not a thing to be worried about though.

Anyway, Trevor is truly a wonderful little boy. We feel very blessed to be his parents. Here are the pictures from September. Enjoy!

Thank you to Libby and Paul for letting lending us their exersaucer! Trevor absolutely loves it.

Bridal Veil Falls

Trev's hair is really curly after a bath or when we fix it in the morning, but it falls out by the middle of the day. I love it though. Hopefully it will get a little more permanent!

BYU vs Utah game day!

Very rare moment of cuddling post nap.

Gooooo Cougars!

We went to the BYU football game last week! BYU vs Washington State (who, ironically, are also the cougars). We found a sweet deal on tickets on ksl and had some friends watch Trevor for a few hours. It was so much fun. It rained pretty hard for a while, but let up right as the game was starting. We ended beating them 30-6. Woohoo! We had an awesome time.

White out game. And that is a brand new jumbotron up there.
My sister, Brianna, is in the marching band. We saw her for a minute before the game started. I wish I had taken a picture, but I had other things on my mind (like the fact that I was wearing a white t-shirt in a monsoon) so I forgot to pull out the camera. I can attest that she can pull off the white pants/white shoes combo though. Super cute.

She said she was in the front all the time so I tried to get a closer up shot. I can't find her though. Bummer.

I snuck over to the band right before we left to take a picture with her, but she was on the other side of everyone and I didn't feel like making a fool of myself again and screaming to her. So I took these sneaky pictures.

I think the head to Bri's right, right above the glasses guy with the white hat, is Brianna's current love interest, Jamie.

crafting

Bet you didn't expect to see a new post on here for about another month. Surprise! You can thank my lovely sister for staying on my case for months to post these pictures of crafts with/for the T-dog. So here we go.

Trevor's name above his crib. Made with "wood" letters found at Hobby Lobby and modge podged with scrapbook paper. We hooked them to the wall with those command strip things so we didn't have to drill a hole through the cinder blocks for each one. Super easy.

This is the mobile I made for Trevor. I pretty much copied a mobile that I saw on etsy. It's just made with felt (most of the things are glued on, instead of sewn), stuffed with stuffing, and hand-sewn around the edges. I also got to do a little bit of embroidering, like the monkey's legs and tail, lion's whiskers, alligator's smile, etc. It was probably the most fun thing I have ever made and it was awesome to do it just for Trev.

Clearly I didn't paint this, but I thought it was appropriate to add since this is pretty much a post of Trevor's room. Ben got me this for my birthday. I love love love this painting. I think it is so sweet.
This is his room. Ben gave me the crib for Mother's day, and I absolutely love it! Isn't it beautiful?!
I made the cushions on the rocking chair. We got the chair from Ruth and Dan before Trevor was born, and then I made the cushions from that foamy stuff at Joann's and just covered it with the fabric while I was pregnant, just in time for Trev. Not too difficult.

This is Trevor's "dresser". One day when we have more money we hope to give our kids actual furniture. Not the most beautiful solution, but a heck of a lot cheaper than the real thing! And he doesn't seem to mind.

This last one is the Father's Day present we made for Ben this year. Each month's picture is made with Trevor's footprints. I decided to just go ahead and post each month so that I can remember in case somebody calls me frantically asking for ideas for Father's day the way I did to my dear sister Amber (thanks by the way!)

Trevor - 8 months

Trevor turned 8 months old on Saturday! He is getting cuter and sweeter every day and you can't help but love him to death. He has mastered the art of scooting. He doesn't do a regular crawl (although he gets up in the right position all the time), but he army crawls like no other. That boy is fast! His current loves are the kitchen trash can, the lamp/phone/laptop/etc. cords, and the hamper. He is starting to think about climbing up on things. A tooth on the top just started to poke through this morning. He is ticklish! - that's a new thing, and it is so much fun! He loves to talk, laugh, and yell. He is a champion sleeper. He takes wonderful naps during the day, and is awesome at putting himself back to sleep at night. He puts his pacifier in his mouth upside down 70% of the time and is content with it. It's hard to catch him during a grumpy time. He is such a happy, sweet baby. Happy 8 months, Trev!
